Iraq to showcase Iran artistic crafts

Iran artists are set to present handicrafts in exhibit for the first time in Iraq.

 The event will showcase the hand-made products and souvenirs from various Iranian provinces.

The handicrafts on show include items such as carpets, rugs, chess boards, earthenware, local clothes, silverware, traditional jewelry and knives, as well as souvenirs from Yazd, Isfahan, Hamedan, Urmia, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Qom and Tabriz.

According to a media quoting Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism in Kurdistan province announced that this specialized exhibition running for ten days starring in late December.

Only in 2016, a total of 10 high-quality works by Iranian artisans, ranging from potteries to handwoven products, were granted the UNESCO Seal of Excellence.
